I liked TA, but I must admit 1989 was my last time there! The 'open' feel to it was sort of unique. Is TA still there? I wonder what it is like now? All I ever hear about today are the casinos. how out in some of the yet to be redeveloped sections near the pick fort shelby hotel, or Something that could bridge the gap between Motor city and MGM casinos? With some much research going into how to revamp downtown, i think a trappers Alley type spot could be created. But the Greektown Casino owners are so stinking cheap… well don’t get me started on that. Part of the original justification for allowing a casino in Greektown was to save Trapper’s Alley. I miss Trapper’s Alley as well, especially when it still had the food court on the top two floors. I am hoping with all the new development that we will once again have a place like that within such close proximity to downtown without being affiliated with a casino. I for one miss trappers alley I know its still there in a sense with greektown but it is just not the same.
